get to know us!

Our story began in November 2023 when Austin and I met in Elizabethtown, KY and it was love at first sight! Despite living in different cities, we quickly bonded over our shared passions for animals, trucks, humor, and outdoor adventures. By January 2024, we were married and we moved to Clarksville, TN with our amazing Doberman, Atlas.

Some people might think we're crazy, but we think we're just intuitive. When you know, you know right?

Now, we're a happy little family and although we sometimes argue over who gets to cuddle the dog, we're still madly in love and living our best lives!

Our experience in pet care

Cadie's professional experience goes all the way back to 2012 when she was 20 years old. Her first job was at a local daycare facility. She was thrilled to start working with animals after a lifetime of love (and some may say obsession) for animals and especially her own dogs and reptiles. There she saw first-hand that pet care isn't just cuddling puppies all day. She fell in love with the work and enjoyed learning about dog behavior. Since then, she has worked for several local daycare and boarding facilities, pet groomers and vet clinics in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas. She has learned an extensive array of skills in her 8 years of pet care including but not limited to: medication administration, proper nutrition, basic medical care, identifying dog body language, basic grooming, socializing dogs, preventing fights, animal safety, and training. She also took and passed the courses on dog care, training, socializing, safety and pack behavior through The Dog Gurus, as well as competed in The Daycare Games and won for her company that year. (Events included Recall, Group Sit and Gate Boundaries for various daycare dogs.)

After 8 years, Cadie decided she wanted to travel and pursue other skills. She moved from Texas to Wyoming, Colorado, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Kentucky just to name a few. In this time, she began learning the industrial and commercial construction industry as a plumber and pipefitter. After 3 years, although she loved the work, she wanted to get back to her true passion- working with animals. With the unwavering support of her husband, Austin, Atlas K9 was born! Cadie hopes to help animals by sharing her expertise with pet owners in the Fort Campbell area. Together we can help your pets live a fulfilling life!

Meet the Team

Cadie conner

Founder, Sitter, Walker, Driver

Cadie is the friendly face your pets are most likely to meet and spend time with. A native of Fort Worth, TX, she has traveled all over the country. Her second greatest passion, after animals, is traveling and exploring new places. When not attending to her furry clients, Cadie indulges in photography, hiking, dog training, and daydreaming about trucks, among other interests. She's embracing her entrepreneurial journey and the learning curve of managing a business.

Fun Fact:

You may have noticed that Cadie's appearance varies across her photos. In 2019, she weighed 300 lbs, and by mid-2020, she had shed 130 lbs. Welcoming a healthier and more active lifestyle, she finds dog walking to be the most enjoyable part of her business.

austin conner

Owner, Support

Although Austin is crucial to our operation, he works mostly behind-the-scenes and is unlikely to be seen. He hails from West Palm Beach, Florida, and relocated to Tennessee before enlisting in the Army as an Aircraft Structural Repairer. Austin is a devoted family man and an excellent dog dad, with a talent for making people laugh. When he's not being a superhero or playing with his dogs, he enjoys bowling, video games, tinkering with cars and trucks, and spending time with his loved ones.

Fun Fact:

Prior to enlisting in the Army, Austin specialized in installing and repairing garage doors. His remarkable mechanical aptitude and strong work ethic make him an excellent resource. Should you require assistance with your garage door, he might even propose his help.

Atlas aka Schpupper

The Star of the Show

Atlas, our cherished 7-year-old Doberman, is the inspiration behind our business and the center of our universe. Everything we do is influenced by him, and that's just how we like it. As the 'goodest' boy around (yes, we're a tad bit biased), Atlas constantly inspires us with his love and kindness for all, encouraging us to be better people. When he's not keeping us in line, he's chasing squirrels, enjoying the lake, hiking with us, his 'pawrents,' or perfecting his obedience skills. Atlas lives life to the fullest and brings so much joy to our lives, and we couldn't imagine life without him.

Fun Fact:

Atlas suffers from Von Willebrand's Disease (vWD), a bleeding disorder prevalent in Dobermans. This condition also affects humans. His excessive bleeding episodes have made us extremely cautious about his activities and care. Nonetheless, even with our helicopter parenting, he still leads a thrilling life full of adventure.
